Deepa Sachdev, Managing Partner, Humancapital® after recognizing a gap in the market for specialized, technical knowledge-driven search in India’s fashion and retail sectors.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, Deepa pursued her masters in Fashion Merchandising at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). She gained valuable industry experience and understood into the operational realities and talent challenges facing fashion and retail organizations.
It was this combination – academic rigour, creative industry training, and practical experience – that inspired Deepa to launch Humancapital®. Her vision was to create a consultancy that could serve both sides of the equation: helping talented professionals find meaningful career opportunities while representing organizations at the highest level.
Two decades later, that vision has grown into a respected executive search practice built on trust, expertise, and an extensive network of industry relationships.
Deepa is a certified independent director, serving on company boards.
